Gorvins Military Personal Injury Team recognised in the annual Legal 500 rankings

The Legal 500 Rankings are released each October. They recognise the law firms and departments around the world which are excelling in their fields, based upon the feedback of other (legal) professionals and clients.

This year’s rankings have proved to be another excellent showing for Gorvins LLP who have retained their Tier 1 ranking in three practice areas. We also have a total of 25 lawyers ranked this year, a significant proportion of the firm.

Gary Boyd, Partner and head of the Military Personal Injury team, has been recognised as a Leading Individual thanks to his strong record in military (and other complex) personal injury claims and long-established reputation in the field. This brings the total Leading Individuals within Gorvins to 7.

We are also delighted that Cerys Jones, Associate Solicitor in the Military Personal Injury team has also been recognised as a Military Injury Specialist and a Key Name to note.

A number of glowing testimonials from clients and others in the field show just how well regarded the Military Personal Injury team at Gorvins is :

“Gary Boyd is one of the top 2 or 3 solicitors nationally practising in specialist military claims. He’s a real terrier, and will take on the most difficult or problematic of claims. He’s achieved some superb results over the years and is unafraid to take a claim to trial – and to the Court of Appeal where necessary. He is the epitome of a safe pair of hands and technically excellent.”

“It is a small, specialist team with a very strong niche area of expertise in military claims going back many years. They are highly thought of by the Ministry of Defence and known generally for their expertise.”

“Gary Boyd combines a first-class legal brain with boundless energy and dogged determination. He is vastly experienced in a wide range of personal injury issues with particular expertise in military claims. Completely client focussed, he has exceptional attention to detail and is meticulous in his case management. Responsive and always willing to make himself available.”

“Very experienced in catastrophic injury and military work.”

The Gorvins Military Personal Injury team has also expanded in 2023 with the addition of trainee solicitor Tom Atkinson, who is due to qualify in July 2024. The addition of Tom has come at an important time as the team expands into growing areas such as Military Noise Induced Hearing Loss and Tinnitus.
